shape/user defined shape

for offset printing (lithography), it is recommended that you use the default setting of Founder century rip - circular dot. Pspnt 2.0, the latest version of Founder century rip, uses the latest technology to generate circular points, further improving the output quality of circular points. For the printing process of frequently printing figures, it is not recommended to use square dots, because square dots will jump at 50% and affect the restoration of skin color, which is determined by the characteristics of square dots. For silk printing, it is recommended that you select founder FM in founder century rip and set the corresponding point size as required. For gravure printing, founder century rip recommends that you use gravure printing. Gravure printing is a special form of Founder century rip, which is suitable for gravure printing process. Tip: in order to realize the unique lowering function of gravure printing, please be sure to select the "direct input curve" option when setting the linearization curve with gravure printing

there is an option of "user defined hanging parameter" in founder century rip. Please choose this option carefully during output. The shapes provided in founder century rip have been strictly tested. linearization

This does not mean that the films from other manufacturers are bad, but that such films do not match the Agfa imagesetter. If you want to obtain high quality, the dot enlargement rate of the film must be within 10%. If the film fails to meet this requirement, you'd better replace the film of other brands. output resolution/eye

Of course, when adding the hanging gray level, you must set the "rip parameter/picture quality" option to "fine", otherwise the setting of the gray level will not work

tip: in software such as wits, you can also set the gray level of gradient. As here, it is recommended that the maximum gray level set in VIX should not exceed 1024, because if the level is higher than 1024, it will also have a great impact on the running speed of rip

FM points

in some cases, you may use FM points. Founder century rip provides two FM points for you to choose from. Better printing quality can be obtained by using frequency modulation points. However, because the printing process of frequency modulation points is quite different from that of AM points, if frequency modulation points are used to output films, it is necessary to notify the subsequent processes such as plate printing and printing in advance, otherwise, there will be a vicious accident of losing points during plate printing, resulting in a decline in printing quality. Tip: the default point size of Founder century Rip is 2 × 2. You can also adjust the dot size according to different printing processes

rgb output

the printing process finally uses CMYK four-color ink to restore all designs and ideas. Because the color gamut ranges of CMYK and RGB are not completely coincident, it can be proved theoretically that the colors that RGB can express cannot be 100% restored by CMYK ink. Therefore, it is best to use only CMYK pictures in typesetting. For RGB pictures, it is recommended to use the design software to convert to CMYK before typesetting. If you receive a file that has been discharged into RGB pictures from users who rarely consider taking thermal insulation measures for their houses in China, it is recommended to print the color separation in the application as much as possible to ensure that the color restoration is as close as possible. If you want to perform matte printing, it is recommended to use the color management (option) of Founder century rip to calibrate RGB to CMYK. Founder color management system adopts Kodak's key technology in color management, which can best realize the restoration of RGB color. If you do not want to perform matte printing, you can use the RGB to CMYK color correction built in founder century rip. In this case, it is recommended to set the color correction file in Photoshop, so that you can use the color correction function of Photoshop to restore the color of RGB images as much as possible

hollowing out settings

founder century rip allows users to customize hollowing out parameters. If you have already set hollowing out parameters in the application, you must select the option "allow users to customize hollowing out parameters" during matte printing, otherwise the hollowing out parameters you set in the application will be replaced by "black version does not hollowed out", causing quality problems

film density

the field density of the output film of the imagesetter is between 4.0 and 4.2, which can obtain the best output quality. Tip: the minimum output density shall not be less than 3.5. The main factors affecting the film density are: film type, exposure strength, various structural parts of large aircraft, automobile engine shell and wheel hub in China, development time, development temperature, etc. Each time you change different batches of glue instead of standard brand chemical film, change the developing or fixing solution, and change the developing time and temperature, you need to re output the test film, and reset the exposure intensity and linearization curve. Tip: for the Phototypesetter that has been used for a long time, different densities may occur at different positions on the same film.
